Netco Grease Traps are specifically designed to prevent fats, oils, grease and solids from entering the sewer system. A Grease Trap slows the flow of warm/hot greasy wastewater and allows it to cool. As the water cools, suspended fats, oils and grease will separate and float to the top, and solids will drop out and settle on the bottom. This leaves the cleaner, cooler water to discharge to sewer.
Netco Grease Traps are available in standard sizes from 1000L to 5000L capacity in both above-ground and below-ground configuration. Custom-size Grease Traps are also available, and we offer complimentary site visits to measure up and ensure our clients get exactly what they need.
Grease Traps require scheduled preventative maintenance and regular pump-out to ensure correct ongoing operation. If you require assistance, you can book a Grease Trap service here.
Netco Grease Traps are manufactured from Paneltim® plastic sandwich construction panel, which provides many key advantages over traditional solid plastic or concrete construction, including:
• Lightweight, yet solid and rigid – 50mm thick
• One-piece construction – no on-site sealing or jointing
• Internal cellular structure provides superior strength – can be backfilled with crushed rock only, no need for concrete ballast*
• Hermetically sealed – remains sealed in the event of single-sided penetration or puncture
• Smooth surfaces – repels dirt, moisture and aggressive substances, very easy to clean
• Fully customisable – sheets can be cut to meet specific site requirements
*please refer to installation guidelines

HOW DO I KNOW IF I REQUIRE A GREASE TRAP?
Wastewater that includes fats, oils and grease is categorised as Trade Waste. The local governing authority which manages trade waste in your area will determine if your business requires a grease trap, and they will have a set of criteria to determine your required grease trap capacity. You will need to set up a formal trade waste agreement with your local authority and they will need to approve the size and location of your grease trap before being allowed to discharge trade waste to sewer.
Trade Waste in Tasmania is managed by TasWater. For any Trade Waste enquiries, you can contact their Trade Waste Hotline on (03) 6422 5444 or email tradew[email protected]. There is also helpful information available at www.taswater.com.au/Customers/Trade-Waste.
